Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Facilitate the Annual Operating plan through detailed budgeting, tracking, and management of expenses
- Ensure operation procedures meet or exceed sustainability benchmarks and continuously improve by questioning the status quo
- Research and oversee winery equipment acquisitions and installation
- Serve as liaison with regulatory and local officials on zoning, permitting, or compliance needs
- Safeguards that the winery is in compliance with all federal, state and Napa County permits and regulations for construction, mechanical, and safety standards.
- Maintain cutting edge wastewater management facilities and associated equipment
- Serve as the designated Safety Officer and Emergency Coordinator
- Lead and actively participate in employee learning, development, and other engagement initiatives
- Manage one direct report, Maintenance Supervisor, and oversee the hiring and training of the maintenance teams across two facilities
- 5 years of leadership experience in a facility engineering/plant operation, at least 3 of those years in a beverage environment
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred
- Proven Experience successfully managing projects from initiation to completion, ideally with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management role
- Ability to lead, collaborate and inspire teams towards the achievement of common goals and objectives
- A broad understanding of various aspects of production, including personnel supervision, workflow scheduling, maintenance of equipment and facilities, capacity planning, and the development of procedures
- Certified or willingness to become certified in Food Safety programs: HAACP, SQF
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to travel between two facilities in Napa, and American Canyon
- Must possess valid driver's license and be insurable under the company insurance policy
