GENERAL SUMMARY
Baristas must have a love and appreciation for connecting with people, working hard in a team environment as well as independently, and above all else, for coffee from the seed to the very last drop. A key part of every Barista’s job is to serve as a BBCC ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity and inspiring them to return.
Baristas are responsible for educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on customers preferences, taking orders, up-selling special items, and maintaining a clean and presentable café. Baristas consistently demonstrate excellent customer service skills, creating an atmosphere of warmth and inclusivity for all of our customers - who are our family and neighbors.

Must have coffee knowledge and developed coffee palette
Knowledge of brewing methods and specialty drinks
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused workplace

Demonstrates prompt and effective time management practices
Demonstrates an understanding of workflow and speed of service (managing customer wait times)

The idea of selling our own roasts didn't occur to us until we noticed our local farmers market had none to offer. When we saw the need was the same in other markets, we were compelled to bridge the gap.
