Boss Automation, a division of Feed Yard Industrial Solutions, a leader in automation systems for the agricultural industry, has an immediate opening for Automation Specialist. This position will be in the AUTOMATION Department. The successful candidate will be assisting the automation team with various programming, instrumentation, and automation tasks answer to the AUTOMATION Manager.

Boss Automation is an OEM partner with Rockwell Automation. As a result, we specialize in Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI, VFD, and other Rockwell automation solutions. The successful candidate must be proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC programming for the RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and all Studio 5000 products.

Work Performed

• PLC and HMI programming
• VFD commissioning and trouble shooting
• Instrumentation calibrations and trouble shooting
• SCADA appplications
• Configure device networks such as ENET and DeviceNet

Job Requirements

• Minimum Experience, 5 years automation
• Mechanical knowledge a plus
• Strong work ethic
• Strong planning skills
• Good multi-tasker

Travel Requirements

• 50% of time spent on the road
  • Our primary customers are agriculture based, but we also service many other industrial applications as well. These locations are scattered across the country, so travel is a key component of this job.
