All Tex Staffing is seeking an experienced Pump Mechanic in the Alvin, Texas area.

Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Pump Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair all brands and models of pumps

Responsibilities:

· Perform repairs and service for ANSI pumps

· Replace packing, mechanical seals, and bearings in pumps

· Install centrifugal and positive displacement pumps; perform motor and pump alignments

· Operate a variety of vehicles, such as forklifts, loaders, tractors and backhoes

· Performs record keeping and maintains files on work performed

Experience working on AOD (air diaphragm) pumps a plus

Qualifications:

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must have knowledge of practices, procedures, tools and materials used in the maintenance, repair and installation of heavy plant equipment, pumps and motors

· Must have knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance and repair of equipment.

· Prefer candidates who have a TWIC card

Ability to:

· Read and follow work orders and instructions

· Read and interpret plans, specifications, repair manuals and diagnostic test results

· Ability to use measuring equipment and interpret mechanical diagrams, curves, and specifications

· Use a variety of power, hydraulic and hand tools

· Respond quickly to critical situations, and carry out work assignments as instructed

· Maintain accurate records

· Communicate effectively orally and in writing

· Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with those contracted in the course of work

· Have fundamental computer skills
