Jackson County Memorial Hospital is Hiring a Project Manager Near Altus, OK

Job Summary:The Project Manager is responsible for helping JCMH maintain and elevate our position as an innovative authority. Coordinate the day-to-day activities of project work including developing and overseeing work plans. The project manager will also prepare and present updates regularly to management channels to ensure timely completion of project.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following General Areas:

  • Commits to one hundred percent (100%) patient and customer satisfaction by always exhibiting a courteous and helpful manner during interactions with others, including patients, families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and software/hardware vendors.
  • Maintains a general, overall working knowledge of the department’s mission thereby having the ability to provide basic service and support to others, including patients, families, visitors, physicians and co-workers. Recognizes when others are in need of assistance and consistently offers to help when own workload permits.
  • Fully knowledgeable of the Hospital policies and procedural flow, and able to apply this knowledge to all situations.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Primary Duties:

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction and motivation.
  • Lead Projects to ensure quality, regulatory and timely completion of timeline goals.
  • Identify schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget.
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary revise the scope, schedule or budget to ensure the project requirements can be met.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day to day contract on project status and changes.
  • Assist with grant research and application for project funding. Assist grant writer with required documentation, analysis of grant opportunities and completion of grant requirements.
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks.
  • Structure and manage tracking performance databases for projects.
  • Assist with prioritization of projects and resources required to complete project
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Report project outcomes and/or risk to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
  • Develops project implementation plans that clearly define completion requirements and timelines and sees that plans are carried through as outlined while keeping the Executive Management and other participants updated on progress through appropriate communication methods. Documents activities in project management/productivity application and provides written alternatives and recommendations for variations from original plan.
  • Compiles and analyzes data using various routines, applications and software to comply with hospital, state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Prepares training materials and coordinates educational activities for all newly implemented or updated modules, applications, and software.
  • Prepares policies, procedures and flowcharts required to communicate project timelines, outstanding needs and barriers to project completion. .
  • Assists with monitoring fiscal budget to control operation and capital expenditures. Provides budget input as necessary.
  • Use tracking and trending software to map project timelines and responsible party duties.
  • Performs job specific duties and all other duties as assigned in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled, uses time and attendance system correctly and completes work within designated time.
  • Attends mandatory meetings; attends and/or reads minutes of other scheduled meetings.
  • Respects patient confidentiality and uses discretion in discussion of patient information.
  • Participates in continuing educational activities as deemed appropriate by department’s supervisor, manager or director. Completes annual education requirements in a timely manner.
  • Follows hospital and departmental requirements for infection control and safety.

Educational/Experience/Regulatory Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with leadership and experience or equivalent preferred. In lieu of a degree, the candidate must possess relevant experience beyond the education requirements.
  • Four or more year’s previous acceptable experience working in a leadership position with project management experience.
  • Ability to organize work, direct and set priorities, and effectively accomplish required duties with minimal or no supervision.
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products required.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including but not limited to clerical ability and typing test.
  • Must be able to meet the public in a direct and professional manner.
  • Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required.
