Staff Accountant Duties
- Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Post journal entries, including month-end accruals and prepaids, and maintain account reconciliations.
- Prepare internal invoices, verify expenses, and ensure proper documentation and coding.
- Assist with daily cash transactions, treasury functions, and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments for accurate financial reporting.
- Meet with property accountants and asset management teams to discuss financial performance.
- Analyze financial data for variances and provide insights to operations.
- Assist with complex accounting tasks and issues.
- Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
- Address financial queries from various management levels.
- Participate in system testing, implementation, and data validation during financial record conversions.
- Respond to external audit requests.
- Ensure timely filing and payment of taxes and licenses.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.
- Accounting Degree, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 1 year of corporate accounting or public accounting experience
