Clinical Operations SpecialistRemote - Must be a CA or AZ resident
Job SummaryThe primary purpose of this position is to advance clinical excellence and quality initiatives through clinical support of assigned agencies by providing oversight of agency achievement of readiness, including compliance with Medicare conditions of participation, state regulations, and accrediting body standards.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and report agency clinical performance (as measured by clinical key performance indicators) to identify and prioritize needs/gaps in quality of care, patient experience, and care efficiency of assigned agencies
- Uses analytical skills to make decisions using sound judgment to solve complex and varied problems that could result in substantial business impact.
- Makes decisions based on performance trends, needs assessments, regulation updates, and organizational priorities.
- Works with subject matter experts (e.g. Operations, Education, et.al) to establish succinct, performance improvement plans, and agency plans of correction.
- Organizes training and resources for Clinicians, Clinical Managers, and Executive Directors.
- Conducts on-site visits for continuous quality improvement to ensure clinical performance aligns with agency policies, procedures, and standards.
- Works as a clinical operations resource to assigned agencies; including but not limited to organizing orientation, preceptor experience, and training for new hires and tenured employees.
- Facilitating and conducting agency operations, workflow administration and/or other duties as assigned to ensure patient care delivery.
- Adheres to all company policies, and procedures and remains updated on all government regulations and requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum education required – Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in either Physical Therapy, Nursing from an accredited program, Health Care Administration, or related field, preferred.
- Minimum five years’ experience within a licensed and certified (Medicare) home health agency in a leadership position or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
- Valid RN or PT license within practice state(s) required. Certificate for OASIS Specialist – Clinical credential, preferred.
- Minimum three years experience with Homecare Homebase, Point Care and R2 (back office), MS Office software, and virtual meeting platforms, preferred.
- Minimum five years experience with multiple functions and/or departments with full responsibility for operational results, preferred.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Proven computer skills, specifically efficient in Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to manage defined systems and processes.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
- Ability to travel throughout the State, to various home health locations and headquarters as needed or assigned.
