Role Overview
The Distribution Associate I will be responsible for accurately completing tasks essential to the movement of product through our distribution center.
Essential Duties
- Pick and Pack product for outbound customer orders
- Run packing station including the loading and unloading of line
- Receiving and processing of inbound shipments from vendors and /or returned orders from customers
- Inventory Control tasks such as cycle-counting, replenishment of on-hand inventory and participation in periodic physical inventories
- Support the operational activity of other product lines or companies as necessary
- Loading/Unloading of shipping containers, trailers, etc. as necessary
- Minimal clerical duties may be required
- Performs other duties, as assigned
- Safe operation of forklift and hand trucks equipment; certification preferred
- Occasional shipping
Training and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years previous pick/pack/ship experience in a warehouse environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of basic PC skills and ability to type at a reasonable pace
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
- Ability to be a self-starter, follow-through and have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions
Manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.
