Maintenance Technician

Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to determine the root cause of problems.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate and install new equipment or components as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Supervise and train junior maintenance staff as needed.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by taking initiative, making sound decisions, and effectively communicating with team members.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for recording and tracking maintenance activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
