This is a part time position responsible for work performing a variety of complex or technical secretarial duties for the Area Health Quality Assurance (HQA) office and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Scan various paperwork in the Laserfiche Document System
  • Working with our digital filing system
  • Archiving old files
  • Answering multi-line phone, taking messages and directing calls to corresponding personnel
  • Present accurate professional looking documents such as letters, memos, reports, etc. as directed.
  • Sign for packages for FedEx and USPS
  • Collecting mail from mailbox
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

This position will be hired at the salary rate of $15.50 hourly / non-negotiable.

What is OPS employment?

OPS employment is a temporary employer / employee relationship used for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks. OPS employees are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment, and terminations at the discretion of the agency head or designee.

OPS employees do not serve probationary periods or become permanent in their positions because they serve at the pleasure of the agency head.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Knowledge of principles of correct grammar usage.

2. Knowledge of administrative principles, office procedures, and basic filing practices.

3. Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data.

4. Knowledge of standard business formats and styles for letters and business forms.

5. Skill in typing and using office equipment.

6. Skill in working with various computer programs such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

7. Ability to proofread typed material and other documents for errors and make necessary corrections.

8. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in a team environment.

10. Ability to work independently

11. Ability to answer telephone calls and route calls appropriately

12. Ability to file and organize records

13. Ability to follow verbal and written instruction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one year of general clerical office experience, answering telephones, typing documents and or filing records.
  • At least one year of computer experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preference will be given to the candidate with a high school diploma and can substitute for one year of the required experience.
