FirstFour is assisting our client with their need for an Electrical Maintenance Technician

This role will perform electrical and instrumentation inspections, repairs and rebuilds on all plant operating equipment. Must be available to work any shift, overtime, be on-call, or work seven days a week, if needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs to hydraulic/pneumatics systems and gas analyzers, AC/DC motors and drives
  • Install and align electrical motors
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain belt-weighing, pressure-sensing, temperature-sensing, and motion-sensing devices, flow meters control valves, and level indicators.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain motor control circuits and air dryers, variable speed drives
  • Maintain and replace control valves, actuators and positioners
  • Installation, maintenance, and adjustment of transformers
  • Troubleshoot and modify control loops
  • Troubleshoot, and repair cameras and monitors
  • Troubleshoot, adjust and maintain PLC’s
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining all types of starters
  • Fabricate and install conduit
  • Complete and document Workplace Inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and report findings
  • Participate in the work order initiation process when required
  • Ensure all inventory parts are correctly charged
  • Comply with company, state and governmental health and safety regulations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical program, or equivalent experience in an industrial background
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical experience

KNOWLEDGE

  • Power distribution systems
  • Low voltage and high voltage terminations, maintenance on switchgear up to 4160 volts
  • Basic electrical calculations
  • Electrical test equipment
  • Soldering operations
  • Precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc)
  • Thermography
  • CMMS System, MS Office products and SAP
