Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve the company's operational and strategic objectives.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and propose innovative solutions to enhance financial performance.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports for analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and results assessment.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for decision-making purposes.
  • Record, categorize, and summarize financial transactions and events according to accounting standards.
  • Apply understanding of relevant laws and regulations to ensure document compliance.
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers with the general ledger and address discrepancies.
  • Utilize various software applications for data organization and reporting.
  • Implement and document accounting systems and procedures to maintain controls.
  • Coordinate year-end closing activities for multiple entities and liaise with external accountants.
  • Demonstrate leadership by actively engaging in team tasks and promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Develop expertise in costing and financial data reporting.
  • Lead the accounting team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to nurture their professional development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, implement corrective measures, and support career growth.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role
  • Management and/or leadership experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing cost accounting controls within a manufacturing organization
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with budget development and financial statement preparation.
  • Inventory management experience within a manufacturing setting.
