Job Summary :

As a Warehouse Equipment Processor in Aberdeen, Maryland, you will be responsible for picking, packing and processing and maintaining all warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Order Selection and Shipping :
  • Operates cart or pallet jack to pick product orders (majority)
  • Operates forklift, reach truck, or order picker to pick product orders (minority)
  • Picks orders from designated locations as required per pick lists.

Ensures all product picked matches pick list.

  • Safely and efficiently organizes products into appropriate container and location for shipping process.
  • Efficiently and thoroughly packs products to minimize damage.
  • Prepares both company required shipping documentation per order and carrier manifests before product leaves premises.
  • Inventory Control and Receiving :
  • Loads / unloads freight from outbound / inbound carriers
  • Alerts management of inventory discrepancies.

Takes action to locate inventory and / or correct system.

  • Performs cycle counts on a scheduled basis, records results and makes placement adjustments as necessary.
  • Receives inbound product, makes labels and puts away in appropriate location.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.

Actively participates in general warehouse cleaning and organization.

Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

  • At least 6 months of previous warehouse experience is necessary.
  • Work well in a team environment as well as independently.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel.
