Creative Financial Staffing is Hiring a G/L Accountant Near Washington, DC
I am working with an organization looking to hire a senior level G/L Accountant on a permanent basis. This position is in-office five days a week (non-negotiable). This position offers a great work life balance (40 maybe 45 hours a week at the most with no overtime work), they offer a nice benefits package and is overall a great place to work with a great culture. This Accountant is responsible for preparing the monthly account reconciliations amongst other tasks including:
- Preparing the monthly account reconciliations including accounts receivable, loans, fixed assets, and payroll taxes on a monthly basis
- Maintaining and distributing the monthly financial statements
- Reviewing and uploading billing information
- Reviewing bank accounts and posting the necessary journal entries including bank fees and deposits
- Assisting with the preparation for the external audit
- Assisting with the annual budget preparation
- Preparing data for the monthly variance report
- Serve as the backup for accounts payable, cash receipts as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong day to day general ledger accounting background
- Strong communication skills
- Strong system skills including Excel
