We seek a Graduate Recruiter to bring our Graduate Program into the next generation of success!
Position Purpose
The primary responsibility of this position is to generate leads for graduate programs by using recruiting strategies and tactics. This position will work with the VP of Enrollment Management, Program Directors, Deans, and other recruiters to successfully devise and implement the strategic enrollment plan for the graduate programs. This position will report directly to the VP of Enrollment Management and work to meet the goals set in the strategic enrollment plan. The position will provide guidance, communication, promotional information, consultation, and assistance to primarily private and Christian schools in Nebraska, organizations, agencies, and communities involved in educating and recruiting potential students. This position will maximize recruiting strategies, including campus visits, information sessions, webinars, business networking, special events, social media, and other methods to increase the enrollment of students.
Responsibilities
- Represent Concordia University, Nebraska, at professional organizations and conferences to network with potential students.
- Utilize the CRM system to track all outreaches to inquiries and applicants.
- Assist with implementing recruitment and promotional events for the graduate programs. These promotional events may include but are not limited to, arranging speaking engagements for faculty, presentations at local business/professional organizations, informational sessions on campus and virtual events, and regional receptions to engage prospective graduate students.
- Builds and maintains relationships with corporate partners, recruiting students from these corporate partners, and develops positive working relationships with regional academic and community groups and coalitions to create additional pipelines for graduate program leads and applicants.
- Make recommendations for graduate articulation agreements.
- Partnering with alumni and other organizations; coordinating recruitment efforts with the Director of Marketing and Program Directors and assisting with developing marketing materials and building new recruitment initiatives.
- Utilize marketing tools to generate new leads leading to applications.
- Speaks and presents to a wide and varying audience to drive applications to the University. Presents on and off campus and delivers a compelling case for enrollment in graduate programs at Concordia University, Nebraska, in individual and group settings. Meets with groups, individuals, and one on one with students and must quickly articulate positive attributes of the University to determine whether potential applicants may be a good fit for the University.
- Communicates to prospective students via mail, email, phone and in person to a qualified lead.
- Knowledge and understanding of all Graduate programs.
- Travel and evening/weekend work are required, primarily in Nebraska.
- Builds and maintains relationships with Nebraska private/Christian schools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in area appropriate to position.
Experience
- Proven experience in recruitment and/or sales.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work in a team setting.
Specialized Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing multiple media and technology.
- Knowledge and experience working with a CRM system.
- Understand audience research and utilize data to develop strategies and tactics for recruitment efforts.
- Knowledge of educational systems and processes within K-12 settings.
Proficiencies
- Proficient in using software applications, including Microsoft applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing required.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks on sometimes short deadlines.

- Demonstration of strong organizational skills is crucial.
- Understand customer service principles.
- Ability to work on multiple projects from concept to completion within time frames.
