POWSTER is Hiring a Digital Production Manager Near Beverly, CA

Powster is a Creative Studio based in London and Los Angeles. We specialise in creating world-class interactive digital experiences, marketing campaigns and showtimes websites for major movie studios, event cinema distributors, broadcasters, music artists, brands and streamers.

 

Are you interested in joining a fast-paced, exciting business that creates award-winning online experiences for millions of users? This is a genuine opportunity to work on projects with hundreds of movie studios, including the major studios and indie distributors. You will work closely with Powster’s Production team to support all aspects of our movie platform releases, to accelerate the growth of Powster’s movie platform output, and be at the heart of communication between our Los Angeles team and stakeholders.

 

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to support our team responsible for building our showtimes websites for major studios and distributors. This role involves managing 4 talented members of our LA Production team, including project managers and content producers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality digital experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. People Management:
    • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to 4 reports, comprising project managers and content producers.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and goal setting sessions with team members to ensure their professional growth and development.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes creativity, innovation, and excellence.
  2. Project Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from project initiation to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
    • Create detailed project plans, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure that projects are completed within defined timelines.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular project updates, managing expectations, and resolving any issues or concerns.
    • Identify potential challenges and proactively address them, ensuring that the end product is of the highest quality.
    • Collaborate with our technical team to ensure accurate and real-time showtime data integration on websites.
    • Implement best practices and methodologies to optimise project efficiency and quality, continually refining processes for continuous improvement.
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for their needs and objectives.
    • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with their strategic goals and brand guidelines.
    • Effectively communicate project progress, milestones, and deliverables to clients, soliciting feedback and addressing any concerns in a timely manner.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services to existing clients, working closely with the sales team.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Uphold high standards of quality and accuracy in all deliverables, ensuring that movie websites meet client expectations and industry best practices.
    • Conduct thorough quality assurance testing, reviewing content, functionality, and user experience to identify and address any issues or defects.
    • Collaborate with the wider team to establish testing protocols and procedures, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and effective bug resolution.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, or Digital Media.
  • 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in the cinema, entertainment, or digital sectors.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably within a digital agency.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Deep knowledge of the digital media landscape, including web development, content management systems, and digital marketing.
  • Experience working with major studios or entertainment clients is a plus.

Salary

  • Dependent on experience, $90,000/yr - $110,000/yr
