We are seeking a RETAIL FISHING MANAGER to join the Orvis team in Leesburg, VA!

Here you’ll find knowledgeable anglers, passionate upland hunters, and folks with an insatiable appetite for sharing their experiences.

The role of Retail Fishing Manager is distinctive, dynamic and one of the most rewarding positions within the company. The role provides the opportunity to teach, mentor and problem solve for customer and associates. The role challenges you to refine your craft, grow your expertise in new areas, and expand your engagement with the outdoors. You will build relationships with industry professionals, Orvis affiliates and conservationists, resulting in a deep connection to our brand and a deep connection to the adventure and wonder in nature.

We are looking for:

• Independent leaders who can learn on the fly, demonstrate integrity and mutual respect, and create a fun and energetic store vibe
• Passion for the outdoors with strong expertise in fly fishing and fly tying, and a love for sharing knowledge
• Excellent retail business acumen including selling skills, visual presentation, and sales analysis
• Ability to handle ambiguity, use sound judgement, and solve problems for customers and associates
• Up-to-date computer skills with the aptitude to learn and utilize business programs as well as the ability to teach these programs to the team
• Merchandising experience
• Knowledge of upland hunting
