Capital City Pain Care is Hiring a Medical Front Desk Receptionist Near Columbus, OH

Summary/Purpose of the Position

At the front desk candidate, will be responsible for checking in patients including verifying insurance information, entering patient demographics and collecting copays/payments. They will also assist the clinic MA with scheduling patients.

Other Responsibilities

If the employee is not scheduled in clinic that day, they will be responsible for chart prep for the upcoming clinic days, prior authorizing diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as scheduling those procedures. They will mail out statements, post/apply patient payments, process patient refunds, and call patients in a collection status. They will follow up on insurance company/BWC denials and call personal attorneys for updates on personal injury patient claims. They will need to answer the phone and facilitate messages to providers. Applicant must have superb customer service skills, pleasant demeanor, neat, poised appearance, the ability to function as a team member with limited supervision, and be highly motivated with effective written and verbal communication and superior organizational skills.

Scheduled hours will typically be Monday through Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm. Must be able to stay until patients are gone during brief periods of peak demand. No on-call responsibilities, nights, weekends, or holidays.

Physicians are scheduled in their Mansfield satellite office every Tuesday. Staff may drive themselves or can car pool with other staff in a personal vehicle if scheduled for the satellite location. Must be able to travel to Mansfield once per week. Employees are compensated for the mileage driven to Mansfield.

Compensation

Hourly wage based on experience $13.50/hour to start
