A midtown CPA firm is seeking a motivated, proactive accountant with 1-5 years of public accounting and tax preparation experience. We are a boutique accounting firm offering a variety of personalized services to our clients in order to provide them with all of their tax and accounting needs.

Primary responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns for a diverse client base.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information provided by clients.
• Perform various bookkeeping services, including monthly bank reconciliations, management reports, and recording adjusting journal entries.
• Research and interpret accounting and tax inquiries, issues, and policies.
• Assist managers with a variety of client-related tasks including filing sales tax returns, year-end projections, and other ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 1-5 years of recent CPA firm experience
• Effectively communicate and interact with clients on a professional basis
• Ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
• Understanding and experience with the fundamentals of bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and experience
• Great attitude & team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
