• Analyzes, maintains, and executes MRP (Material Requirement Plan).
• Continually monitors and verifies materials pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements. Identify and appropriately address materials supply issues.
• Maintains integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters in order to minimize material liability and inventory levels.
• Ensures materials availability to support production per the production schedule through MRP execution and evaluation of ERP projections.
• Ensures suppliers’ adherence to established agreements.
• Optimizes order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.
• Monitors and continuously improves supplier’s delivery and quality performance. Address and resolve recurring or critical issues by utilizing corrective action tools and additional resources.
• Provides inputs to drive and execute strategic goals regarding pricing strategy. Works closely with Account Managers and management.
• Monitors and optimizes shipping freight strategy to minimize expenses.
• Schedules and places purchase orders with approved suppliers to meet planned quantities and delivery dates.
• Maintain an accurate open order database.
• Ensure supplier statuses and other system attributes remain accurate.
• Expedite urgent orders as required by production and/or supervisor.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and negotiate supply programs to assist with cost reduction, procurement simplification, stock assurance, and inventory reduction.
• Minimizes active inventory carrying costs through accurate and efficient ordering processes and supplier negotiation.
• Generates profit center for inactive/excess inventory through the marketing and sale of inventory.

Required Skills/Experience/Education:

• Computer literacy

• Must read/write English

• Email and telephone communication skills necessary

• Intermediate level competency with spreadsheets, including Google Sheets and Excel
