Who we are:

Since 1978 Pat’s Place for Cats has remained the premier cat-only boarding facility, serving the greater Northern California region. Based out of Sacramento we provide uncompromising fun, safety and comfort for our feline guests, as well as world-class convenience for our clients. Our staff is fully committed to providing a fun and loving experience for our guests which allows clients the freedom of enjoying peace of mind while knowing that their cats are taken care of with the highest level of professionalism and quality service.

Who you are:

As a kennel assistant you will be providing daily care for our boarded cats as well has assisting with kennel maintenance. This role requires patience and compassion along with a love of cats and familiarity with care protocols. There is a heavy focus on cleaning/disinfecting condos and suites throughout the day along with cleaning/scooping litter boxes and feeding cats. Once comfortable with the basics of the position, you will be trained to assist with client check ins/outs, answering phones, taking reservations, etc.

Additional Requirements:

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have sufficient mobility and stamina to lift and/or move cats and heavy objects.
- Have reliable form of transportation
- Willingness to learn and desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for our boarded cats
- Previous experience in working with animals and be able to adjust to cats of various temperaments and personalities is a must!

Other Duties include:
- Maintaining the well-being of our guests while their owners are away
- Feeding the cats and providing any necessary medication
- Various customer-facing tasks, particularly during drop-off and pick up
- Making reservations and answering phone calls inquiring about our services
- Sweeping and cleaning general areas
- Cleaning and sanitizing condos/suites
- And most importantly, keeping our guest kitties happy and comfortable

Schedule:

- Number of work days range between 2-6 a week, including weekends and holidays, with shift times between 8am - noon and 4pm - 6pm
- Flexibility is essential as schedule vary weekly based on our capacity
