Textile Production Assistant
Kevin O’Brien Studio is seeking a qualified candidate who can appreciate the production side of the textile home manufacturing industry. This is a labor intensive role that requires a lot of standing.

Role and Responsibilities:

Hand crushing velvet fabric by ironing. Clipping and ironing pillow cases and preparing for shipping. Stuffing pillows and carefully boxing and filling orders according to each individual store order. Ripping lining fabric and helping to assemble and pack fabrics to send to the seamstress. Using a rotary blade and cutting fabrics into pillow pieces.
Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments. Other misc work to keep space clean and organized. Filling in where needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Experience with fabric a plus
• Experience using a rotary cutter a plus
• Understanding Measurement in inches
• Organized and methodical
• Follows directions well
• Works well with others
• Strong ability to multitask, very focused
• Pleasant demeanor
• Team player
• Thrives in fast paced environment
• Must be reliable
• Must be goal oriented with a desire to meet deadlines and a willingness to work overtime if needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
