SUMMARY

The Inventory Counter I is responsible for performing daily cycle counts and monitoring inventory within the warehouse. This position requires a strong reliance on accuracy, control, monitoring and coordinating to confirm inventory and investigate discrepancies; maintaining product identification, locations, and lot accuracy; and knowing when to report and perform adjustments through an ERP system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• · Count materials, equipment, merchandise in stock.
• · Report discrepancies between physical counts and ERP system. 
• · Perform SKU cycle counts daily. 
• · Investigate discrepancies as part of a warehouse yearly position verification. 
• · Accurately control and track physical inventory.
• · Participate in inventory process and daily audits.
• · Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• · Receive transfer from another sister store.
• · Load and offload transfers.
• · Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in work area.
• · Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
• · Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

• · Education: High School Diploma or equivalent specific experience
• · Minimum of 1-2 years experience or equivalent, including driving experience on Cherry Picker and Stand-up reach truck.
• · Excellent communication skills.
• · Basic to intermediate understanding of inventory control procedures.
• · Basic to intermediate proficiency on keyboarding skills.
• · Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• · Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• · Strong attention to detail.
• · Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• · Basic understanding of safety requirements for lifting and equipment maintenance.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• · More than 3 years of Cherry Picker and Stand-up reach truck driving experience.
