Job Title: Field Technician Manager (Door Renew)

Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

As the Field Technician Manager, you'll oversee and facilitate the restoration and finishing process of front doors for our esteemed clients. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that each door meets our stringent quality standards and aligns with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

● Engage with customers to comprehend their finishing preferences and color

specifications.

● Disassemble door hardware and conduct thorough inspections for damage or

imperfections.

● Execute repairs, rectify flaws, and fortify weakened parts with precision.

● Prepare surfaces for finishing by meticulously removing old finishes, rectifying

imperfections, and thorough sanding.

● Select and expertly apply suitable finishing lubricants such as varnish, stains, or shellac.

● Conduct comprehensive quality checks on refurbished products and generate detailed job reports.

● Supervise finishers to ensure compliance with brand standards and meet client

preferences.

● Prioritize the safety and well-being of team members.

● Collaborate with the General Manager to effectively train and guide team members.

● Monitor shop production, set targets, and ensure objectives are met.

● Mentor shop apprentices, ensuring ongoing training and skill development.

● Maintain shop organization and oversee inventory restocking.

Your Skills & Attributes:

● High school diploma or GED.

● Preferred certification in Woodworking Technology.

● 3-5 years of woodworking experience.

● Minimum 1 year of management experience.

● Strong customer service skills with meticulous attention to detail.

● In-depth knowledge of staining and finishing techniques.

● Proficient hand-eye coordination and advanced design skills.

● Excellent communication skills.

● Experience with hand and power tools.

Your Work Environment:

Most tasks are conducted indoors, involving physical activities and direct client interactions. The position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and extended periods of standing.
