Job Title: Graphic Designer

Job Description: Passionate about visual storytelling? Do you have a keen eye for design and a knack for bringing ideas to life through graphics? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to kickstart your career as a graphic designer with Earl Giles Distillery & Bottling Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design: Collaborate with the creative team to produce engaging visual content for various platforms including print, digital, and social media. Create compelling designs that effectively communicate our brand message and resonate with our target audience.
  • Conceptualization: Generate innovative ideas and concepts for design projects based on creative briefs and project objectives. Brainstorm with team members to develop visually captivating solutions that meet client needs and project requirements.
  • Design Production: Use industry-standard software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to execute design concepts from start to finish. Prepare final artwork files for production and ensure that designs are optimized for different formats and platforms.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency in design elements and Earl Giles brand guidelines across all projects to uphold brand identity and strengthen brand recognition. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that all designs align with brand standards and messaging.
  • Feedback Incorporation: Receive feedback from team members, clients, and stakeholders and incorporate revisions and changes into design work as needed. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to feedback while maintaining high-quality design standards.
  • Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines and deadlines. Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of design assets while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, design techniques, and software advancements to enhance skills and knowledge. Seek opportunities for professional development and growth within the field of graphic design.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative design work and a diverse range of projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually compelling designs.
  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems creatively, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
  • Familiarity with print production processes and digital design best practices is a plus.

Earl Giles is a nationally distributed beverage producing company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Spirits, liqueurs, non-alcoholic mixers & beverages, as well as co-packer of multiple products are created, produced, and packaged in our facility. Earl Giles’ team believes graphic design has a meaningful, and powerful impact and messaging which speaks our products, consumers without using words.

Our headquarters is home to our distillery, bottling company, flavor laboratory called The Drinks Apothecary, and full-service restaurant. Within our walls is also a consumer-facing retail shop, which is the perfect stage to pre-launch new designs and packaging for products not yet available in the retail world.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.59 - $24.77 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
