HIGHLAND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH NURSERY AND WEEKDAY SCHOOL is seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Intervention Specialist for the 2024-2025 school year. Responsibilities include consulting with classroom teachers to assess, identify and support children with physical, cognitive, behavioral or communication delays. This specialist also collaborates with classroom facilitators to offer strategies and support to classroom teachers to improve quality of learning within the classrooms. Additional time is required for weekly planning sessions, faculty meetings, parent conferences, professional development and school events. Additional teaching time is available in our afternoon extended play program, if interested.
QUALIFIED APPLICANTS will demonstrate a creative approach to early childhood education and will have experience working with young children with special needs. A master’s degree is strongly preferred with focus in Early Childhood Special Education or Developmental Intervention or a related field. School year runs from late August through May. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
