Compensation:

$250,000

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for anesthesia, conduct evaluations, and ensure informed consent is obtained
  • Administer and oversee the use of anesthetic agents with attention to proper selection and preparation
  • Handle anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care, including procedures like invasive line insertions and airway management
  • Monitor and manage fluid, blood, electrolyte, and acid-base balance in patients, and respond to any abnormalities
  • Identify and address cardiac dysrhythmias, and assess patient reactions during and after anesthesia
  • Provide follow-up care post-anesthesia, evaluating patients for potential complications and managing emergency situations effectively
  • Maintain and guarantee the safety and functionality of anesthesia equipment through regular checks and cleaning
Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia program
  • Five (5) years of anesthesia care in an acute setting experience preferred
  • Valid state RN License (must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure)
  • Valid state APRN Recognition (must meet education requirement(s) for state recognition and obtain within six (6) months of hire)
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
  • Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong patient assessment abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in interpersonal relations, customer service, adaptability, and change management
  • Skilled in word processing and PC applications
  • Competent, confident, and autonomous, with the ability to effectively communicate with surgeons and staff
