Overview: We are seeking an experienced Optical Manager to join our team. As an Optical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our optical department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales. If you have a strong background in retail management and a passion for providing quality eye care services, we would love to hear from you. Duties: - Manage the optical department, including supervising staff, scheduling, and training - Ensure efficient and effective operations of the optical department - Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with frame selection, lens options, and fitting - Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive eye care services - Stay updated on industry trends and new products in order to provide expert advice to customers - Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner - Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer information Qualifications: - Previous experience in retail management, preferably in the optical industry - Strong knowledge of retail sales principles and techniques - Familiarity with retail math and inventory management - Experience working with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred) - Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes - Familiarity with aseptic technique for handling contact lenses - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Strong attention to detail Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience - Health insurance coverage - Retirement plan options - Paid time off If you are a motivated individual with a passion for providing exceptional eye care services and leading a team, we encourage you to apply for the position of Optical Manager.
