Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Provider to join our team. As a Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children in our care. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the well-being of each child.
Duties:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children in our facility
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development
- Create a safe and secure environment for children to explore and play
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere
- Collaborate with parents to understand individual needs and preferences of each child
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility
- Follow established procedures for health, safety, and emergency situations
- Document daily activities, including meals, naps, and any incidents or concerns
- Supervise activities, playtime
- Assist children during snack & meal times
Skills:
- knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education techniques and strategies is a plus
- Ability to provide quality infant care, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Understanding of childhood development milestones and appropriate activities for each age group
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured yet nurturing environment
- Effective behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Strong communication skills to interact with children.
We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.
This is not a full time position , we are looking for :
- Assistant on call (morning 8:30-12:30
- Assistant on call (afternoon 2:30-6:30
- Temporary Assistant for months of May -June & August ( morning shift)
