Compensation:

$160,000-$210,000 per year bonus and benefits

This range is depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

As an Associate Attorney specializing in Employment Defense, you will:

Litigation Management:

• Represent clients in a variety of employment-related litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other employment-related claims.
• Develop litigation strategies, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and argue cases in court.

Client Consultation and Advice:

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients on employment law matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on employment policies, practices, and procedures, and assist in drafting employee handbooks and related documents.

Investigations and Compliance:

• Conduct internal investigations into alleged employee misconduct, discrimination, or harassment, and provide recommendations to clients on appropriate actions.
• Assist clients in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations by conducting audits and developing compliance strategies.

Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR):

• Engage in mediation, negotiation, and ADR processes to resolve employment disputes efficiently and effectively, striving for fair and equitable resolutions.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build strong client relationships through effective communication, responsiveness, and exceptional service, establishing trust and rapport with clients.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and team members to strategize, share insights, and contribute to the overall success of the employment defense practice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
• 3 years of experience in employment law, preferably in a litigation or defense capacity.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
