Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities. Duties:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities for residents
- Engage residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities
- Provide support and assistance during activity sessions
- Help residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Collaborate with the activity director to develop and maintain an activity calendar
- Coordinate transportation for outings and appointments
- Assist in setting up and cleaning activity areas
- Document resident participation and progress

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in social work, senior care, or related field preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff
- Knowledge of aging issues and counseling techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and coordinate events
- Familiarity with nursing home regulations and guidelines is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
