Tactical Kinetics is Hiring a Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift (Weekday Nights) Near Knoxville, TN

JOB SUMMARY

Seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. Strong communication, observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience with measurement and test equipment (M&TE) is required. You will report to the Director of Quality Assurance and collaborate closely with inspectors, machinists, engineers, and management. Join us in upholding exceptional quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 2 years of applicable experience in a quality control role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in open setup inspection using hand-held metrology such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and borescopes.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawing specifications, including geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
  • Strong observational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and commitment to maintaining tidy work areas.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software is a plus
  • Desired, but not required: Familiarity with the operation of Zeiss CMM (Calypso Software), Zoller pre-setter, and optical comparators.

CORE DUTIES

  • Conduct incoming inspections of products received from outside vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform comprehensive 1st article inspections, guaranteeing adherence to quality standards specifications.
  • Utilize M&TE to conduct precise dimensional inspections of CNC machined products.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to enhance and optimize quality control processes.

    As a firearm component manufacturer employee, you will be subject to pre-employment background check and random drug screening; failure of either will disqualify the candidate prior to or at any point during employment.

    Job Type: Full-time in an air-conditioned plant Currently working 4 days x 10 hrs. per day, plus overtime.
