Description

Capitol Pain Institute Health (CPIhealth) is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Director to lead the technology initiatives for our Interventional Pain Management practice, which spans across six states. This position will be based in Austin, TX and covering operations in a total of six states. 

The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of all technology systems, multi-state telecommunication network, and leading a team of IT professionals. 

The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare IT requirements and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement an IT/telecommunication strategy aligned with CPIhealth's goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance practice operations and patient care.
  • Plan and oversee the integration of IT systems across multiple locations.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain all IT/telecommunication systems, including hardware, software, networks, and servers, phones.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee data centers and cloud services, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive patient data.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and other relevant laws.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.

Technical Support and Service Management:

  • Oversee the IT helpdesk and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient and effective IT support.

Vendor and Budget Management:

  • Manage relationships with IT/telecommunication vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best value for CPIhealth.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet business requirements and deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in healthcare technology and telecommunication infrastructure for multi-state organization .
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience in leading IT operations across multiple locations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems, electronic health records (EHR), and practice management software.
  • Extensive experience with cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed to various practice locations within the six-state region.

Preferred

  • Certification in IT management or related areas (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP).
  • Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of telemedicine and remote patient monitoring technologies.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
