Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and experienced RVT/Veterinary assistant to join our team. As an RVT/Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include monitoring anesthesia, assisting and performing dental procedures including taking dental radiographs, assisting veterinarians and other staff in various surgical and medical procedures, handling animals, maintaining cleanliness in the clinic, and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients.

Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas for procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic, including cleaning cages, exam rooms, and surgical instruments
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Take radiographs and assist with radiographic procedures
- Provide support to pet owners by answering questions and providing education on animal care
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures

Qualifications:
-Education in veterinary science or related field is a plus
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility preferred
- Knowledge of animal physiology, husbandry, and handling techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and aseptic technique
- Ability to operate X-ray equipment is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
