Doctor Assistant / Scribed NEEDED.

Our specialty eye care practice is looking to add a great team member to our rapidly

growing optometric practice, Judson Family Vision Care, for a full-time position.

We are looking for a great addition to our office family who has a positive attitude, great

communication skills and is confident and personable. The ability to work well with

others and support them while keeping a professional relationship with all staff is key to

success in this position. We are looking for someone who has at least a moderate typing

speed and is proficient with standard word processing and spreadsheet software such as

Microsoft Word and Excel.

What you’ll be doing as Dr. Judson’s Assistant

As Dr. Judson’s assistant, you will be enabling her to provide the best patient care and

patient experience possible. You will assist her in staying prompt and thorough.

Some of your duties will include:

• Keep the doctor organized and on task.

• Ensure that the doctor’s exam rooms are presentable and stocked before each

patient day.

• Learn and become proficient in our office computer software – Crystal Practice

Management.

• Ensure that the doctor has all needed data prior to patient exams.

• Scribe exam histories and enter exam data.

• Ensure exam records are completed.

• Escribe medications as directed.

• Perform pretests as needed including retinal photos, visual fields, visual skills

testing.

• Write and send multiple follow up reports / letters as needed.

• Print and sort faxes and disperse them to correct staff member.

• Keep multiple exam spreadsheets up to date to ensure all tasks for patient care are

completed.

• Make referral appointments to outside doctors as needed.

• Ensure all exam data is faxed to referral doctors as needed.

• Ensure proper flow of patients during all portions of their appointment(s).

• Consistent and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position.

• Follows HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information.

• Perform other duties as requested or required by leadership.

Judson Family Vision Care is a family owned full-scope optometric practice emphasizing

care in pediatrics, vision therapy, sports vision, post-concussion vision syndrome, contact

lens, dry eye, as well as diabetic eye care. We take care of patients of all ages starting at

6 months old to 100 years . We have a fully functioning optical dispensary. We love to

be able to enhance the lives of our patients each and every day whether through providing

them excellent patient care, enabling improvements in the vision therapy room, or

providing clarity of sight when putting in their new contacts or putting on their new

Our doctor, Dr. Judson, is a behavioral optometrist who is Board Certified in Vision

Therapy by the prestigious College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). It

is a joy for her when she is able to see her patients thrive in an area that previously

caused struggles. Her goal at the end of every visit is that her patients feel comfortable,
