Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. If you have a passion for patient care and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood specimens
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the blood collection process
- Label, sort, and package collected specimens for testing
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records of procedures
- Adhere to infection control and aseptic technique protocols
- Assist in specimen collection processing and transportation to the laboratory
Requirements:
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or relevant healthcare certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and specimen collection processing
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on quality care
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and specimen handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
