Indiana United Ways (IUW) is a membership association serving United Ways working across Indiana counties. Reporting to the CEO, the position of Grants, Research & Administrative Support Specialist is a full-time, hybrid position shared across three teams.
The position is responsible for setting appointments for senior staff and coordinating meeting logistics; assisting with reporting and data collection and management related to passthrough and capital projects grants; supporting the management of grant application and reporting portals; communicating granting, enrollment, and reporting deadlines to member United Ways and ensuring that the office is well-supplied.
The work is multi-faceted and will reach across multiple disciplines. This position is critical to IUW’s ability to report data efficiently and accurately to the Board of Directors, Member United Ways, and funders. The position is responsible for promoting and preserving strong relationships with Member United Ways.
Working knowledge of project management and project management software are critical to being successful in this position. Must be able to communicate succinctly but warmly, particularly through phone calls and emails. Must be detail-oriented, have strong editor/proofreader and notetaking skills, and possess a high tolerance for competing deadlines and project priorities.
Associate’s degree in business management, data management and/or analytics, or operations management or equivalent fields of study, with (3) to (5) years’ experience in data management and operations administration. Prior non-profit experience is preferred. Prior membership association experience a plus.
