Position: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Employment Type: Per Diem

Examples of Responsibilities:

· Provide direct patient care and assessment on the medical-surgical unit.

· Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.

· Monitor patients' conditions and vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

· Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.

· Participate in patient advocacy and support initiatives to ensure patients receive high-quality, patient-centered care.

· Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Current RN license in the State of California

· CPR certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred

· Basic EKG Certification required

· Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting; experience in rural healthcare or critical access hospitals preferred.

· Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

· Compassionate demeanor and dedication to patient-centered care.
