Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation logistics for our company. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and timely dispatch of our fleet, while maintaining effective communication with drivers, and customers.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation logistics, including assigning drivers and vehicles to specific routes and deliveries
- Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules, ensuring on-time arrivals and departures
- Communicate with drivers to provide necessary instructions, updates, and route changes
- Track and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service
- Perform data entry tasks to update records, track shipments, and maintain accurate information in our systems
- Assist with fleet management activities, including vehicle maintenance scheduling and coordination
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles and transportation planning
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
