Position Details:
  • Title: Special Education Teacher

  • Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday

  • Case Load: 8-15 kids
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for special needs students.
  • Provide differentiated and inclusive instruction to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents for creating a supportive educational environment.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies and collaborate with the behavioral support team to address challenging behaviors.
  • Maintain an open communication line with parents providing updates about student progress.
  • Stay updated with best practices in special education through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • New Hampshire State Certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and special education laws.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
