Primary responsibility for accounting operations, financial and program reporting for public and private grants for Senior Citizens Services. Responsible for preparation of budgets for grant proposals, grant budget modifications, monthly, quarterly and annual grant billings.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Accounting or Finance, CPA (Required)
· Master Degree MBA or MPH (Preferred)
· Solid background in Grant Accounting and Budgeting
· Experience with New York City Social Service Programs (DFTA, DHS)
· Exceptional Computer, Communications Skills, outlook, excel, QuickBooks, HHS Accelerator, and PASSPort
· Self-Starter and highly motivated.
Responsibilities:
· Report directly to the Executive Director
· Collaborate with Senior Director of Programming, Program Director and Fiscal Staff in the preparation of grant proposals, pre-award submission package and budget preparation.
· Ensure timely submissions of invoices to DFTA via Accelerator.
· Perform various accounting functions which includes month-end reconciliations, year-end contract close out, financial reporting and monitoring and analyses of contract revenue, receivables and advances.
· Present monthly grant performance reports to management highlighting actual budget grant spending, spending projections and recommendations for managing grant budgets.
· Preparation and maintenance of the organization’s full-time employees (FTE) allocation computation.
· Review vendor invoices, match programmatic requirements and process for payment.
· Prepare monthly and annual financial statement with supporting schedule for management and the Board of Director.
· Coordinate funder’s audits and inquiries from funder agencies.
· Assist Executive Director in developing and submitting solid proposals for new homeless shelter programs, new grants and supportive housing programs.
· Apply and manage discretionary application and funds
· Assist in the submission of grants, RFP’s, and program proposals
· Any other duties requested by Executive Director
