Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to join our team. As an Korean-English Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals who speak in English and Korean. Your expertise will be utilized in various settings, including social work, offices, and other business related services. If you have strong communication skills and are fluent in both English and Korean, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
- Provide interpretation services to assist individuals who do not speak the same language
- Interpret conversations, interviews, meetings, and other interactions accurately and impartially
- Translate written materials such as medical records, documentation, and reports
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive information
- Review and analyze documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with cultural mediation to ensure effective communication between parties
- Collaborate with professionals, social workers, and other personnel to facilitate understanding
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Korean
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
- Experience in Business is preferred, not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
- Familiarity with child protective services or social work is a plus
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting and translating
- Flexibility to adapt to different environments and situations
