Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Manager to join our team at Xpansiv. In this role, you will execute the product vision to make Xpansiv Managed Solutions the premier company for monetizing Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits. You will leverage your deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs, as well as the business and industry landscape, to create and maintain a strategic roadmap. Your efforts will drive impactful projects, foster collaboration, and champion agile methodologies to support the adoption of renewable energy and combat climate change.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy. Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap that aligns with company goals and customer requirements and the relevant business & industry landscape.
  • Deliver projects that have measurable and meaningful strategic impact for the business, operating with speed to impact in mind, knowing how to prioritize and pivot to maximize that impact.
  • Define product requirements and specifications and oversee the design and development to ensure products and features meet quality standards.
  • Leverage data continuously: identify opportunities, evaluate value to the company to prioritize feature implementation, make informed product decisions using cost-benefit analysis. Use data-driven insights to refine product offerings and strategies. 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure and evaluate the success of your roadmap and product. Use these KPIs to inform future decision-making.
  • Work with stakeholders across teams, collaborating and building alignment around your plans and ensuring the user need and benefit is shared and understood by the engineering and design teams. 
  • Conduct backlog grooming sessions on a regular, frequent basis with business stakeholders.
  • Drive impact with your agile team partners by playing a key role in agile ceremonies - breaking down epics into stories, engaging in design and feature usability reviews and collaborating successfully with your business stakeholders.
  • Champion agile methodology and other standards or tools.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in clean energy markets.
  • Maintain a general understanding or working knowledge of the IT systems and their connections 
Qualifications
  • 8 years of work experience in product management
  • Evidence-based product sense: You use a combination of metrics, research, and intuition to evaluate opportunities, make cases for your work that are impossible to refute or ignore, establish roadmaps, define clear product requirements
  • Fluency with Data. You can define the data you need and leverage it appropriately to drive decisions and measure progress
  • Strong communication and organization skills. You set expectations, are clear and transparent, and know how to keep the right people informed of your progress
  • Bias for speed, action, and impact. You operate with a sense of urgency and move quickly toward outcomes, pivoting as necessary and proactively iterating to improve
  • Ability to simplify. You are comfortable working with high complexity and ambiguity
  • Builder mindset. You are results oriented, focused, and self reliant. You have grit, figure it out and get things done, and are never afraid to challenge the status quo to maximize impact
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Renewable Energy background is a strong plus
