JOB SUMMARY:

We’re looking for outgoing, fun, friendly, andpersonable guides to provide ourguests with an enjoyable and informative tour of the local wineries. As a WineTour Guide/Driver, you will be responsible for driving guests to wineries,providing information about the region, the wineries, and the wines, andensuring that the tour runs smoothly and efficiently.

You must be willing to go out of your wayfor guests, be enthusiastic, and always provide 5-star service. You must beself-motivated, organized, systematic, and detail-oriented. We think this isone of the greatest and most enjoyable jobs in the world, and we want you tothink the same! We want you to love thisdream position! Your “office” will be the beautiful landscape of NorthernVirginia’s favorite wineries. 

Ourguides stand apart from the rest by providing personalized attention, plenty ofinformation, and keeping the tour fun! We offer to snap photos of guests iniconic locations and pristine landscapes. We take time on every tour to chatwith each guest, getting to know them and connecting on a personal level. Wecontinually check in with the group and individuals to make sure they’reenjoying the day, that the temperature in the vehicle is comfortable, that themusic volume is at an appropriate level, etc. We make recommendations on thingsto do and places to go while they’re in the area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Operatea 15 passenger van

·Drive over designated routes in accordancewith time schedules following alltraffic rules and regulations

· Make departures and arrivals according toschedule. Stayingon schedule without making the group feel rushed

· Maintain the vehicle in a clean and safeoperating condition

Maintain good order among patrons andensure a 5 star level of service

·Provide guests with information about thelocal area, the wineries and the wines they will be tasting

·Conduct tours of the wineries, explainingthe wine making process, the history of the winery, and the unique features ofeach wine

·Answer questions and address any concernsthat guests may have

·Managing group dynamics, especially whenthere is a diverse group from different cultural backgrounds and generations.

·Breaking the ice for groups, getting themchatting with each other, setting the tone of the day and tour

·Maintaining a balance between fun andeducational tours

· Reading groups and adjusting guiding styleto fit different needs, desires, and expectations

QUALIFICATIONS

·Wine Certificationor classes

·Fluent English speaker. (Other languages aplus)
