Under general supervision of the Dean of Allied Health Sciences, the CNA Instructor prepares lesson plans and teaches classroom instruction for credit courses in the School of Health and Professional Services. Instruction will include both lecture and laboratory activities and may involve internet courses.Must possess the ability to teach all phases of the Certified Nursing Assistant curriculum. Required qualifications include: Associate's degree in related healthcare program and three or more years - within the last five - of full-time, in-field work experience as a LPN or RN.Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the faculty will be expected to teach. Successful candidate must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Certified Nurse’s Assistant profession, including the relationship to other professions in the medical field.Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications and people skills.
