BA Global Talent is Hiring a Remote Managing Director/Investment Banking (Remote)

BA Global Talent is seeking a self-driven Managing Director to play a critical role in generating new mandates, managing client engagements, and executing M&A processes. As an MD, you will be responsible for implementing negotiation strategies to close deals, contributing to the firm's deal flow, and developing your individual pipeline within the firm. This role requires strong business acumen, with a strong track record in investment banking, leadership skills, and the ability to work as part of an entrepreneurial team.
Responsibilities:
  • Actively pursue business development opportunities and market the firm’s M&A expertise (sell-side and buy-side) to prospective clients.
  • Create and manage new deal flow and originate new client engagements that fit the strategy of the firm.
  • Lead on a variety of transactions including client sourcing, initial pitch, M&A process, valuation analyses, due diligence, negotiations, and transaction closing.
  • Communicate industry, regulatory, and financial information, and complex strategic issues clearly and concisely to assist and guide decision-makers in corporate finance transactions.
  • Oversee preparation and delivery of presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders, intermediaries, and Private Equity firms to identify new opportunities for advisory assignments.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Participate in key industry conferences, speaking opportunities, media interviews, and marketing efforts to generate exposure and promote the firm.
  • Review and study regulatory changes, including reimbursement trends, and advise clients on potential impacts.
  • Monitor market conditions and liaise with doctors, scientists, and key opinion leaders.
Qualifications:
  • U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or an MBA.
  • The FINRA Series 7 and/or 79 and 63 certifications will be required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in investment banking with demonstrable experience in M&A execution and origination.
  • Experience with managing a Book of Business.
  • Expertise in managing transactions in the life sciences industry (biotechnology, MedTech, diagnostics) is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven track record in new business development and closing investment banking transactions.
  • Deep understanding of the capital marketplace, including deal multiples, pricing, structure, potential financing sources, and buyers.
  • Strong execution skills in M&A advisory services, marketing materials compilation, buyer/seller strategies, deal structuring, and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of accounting, taxation, regulatory, and legal matters in public and private company M&A transactions.
  • Highly proficient in financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
  • Results-oriented with extraordinary attention to detail on client deliverables.
  • Persistent in the pursuit of potential business opportunities.
  • Effective at marketing transactions to private equity and strategic buyers.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting ideas persuasively.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Positive attitude and takes initiative.
Location: This position can be performed remotely from across the US, with a preference for the Bay Area, including San Francisco, or On-Site in Boston, Massachusetts.
