Schechter Boston is hiring a middle school math teacher

The specific grade level of the position will be determined based on need later this spring.
Job Description:

Both independently and in collaboration with the STEM team, our math teacher will:

Design, plan and implement math lessons that motivate students and create active, phenomena-based learning experiences.

Prepare and implement differentiated instruction, activities and assessments that meet the needs of every student.

Build relationships with all students, so they are actively engaged in the classroom activities.

Create and maintain a safe, well-structured physical environment that is conducive to student learning.

Participate in ongoing cycles of reflection, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in math-related field.

Minimum of two years experience teaching students, preferably in a middle school setting.

Exemplary teaching skills.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
