Assistant Wedding Coordinator
Charlotte, NC
This role is a part-time, seasonal position.
Little Black Dress Events is a team of experienced wedding planners/coordinators based primarily in Charlotte, NC, West Virginia, and Ohio. We are looking to add an assistant coordinator who is based in Charlotte, NC.
This coordinator would be responsible for assisting our lead coordinator with the wedding day, rehearsal coordination, vendor confirmation before the wedding day, and then unlimited hours on the wedding day (approx 8-10 hours on-site on average).
Wedding or event experience is a plus, but we place a much higher value on someone who is assertive and has a take-charge attitude while being polite and composed in stressful situations. The wedding industry is trainable for someone with those innate characteristics. Must be able to spend 12 plus hours on your feet at a time and carry 50 lbs.
Please note that the amount of weddings you would have in any given season is not promised and this job should not be relied on as a steady form of income. It is on an as needed basis and is paid per job, not hourly. We are currently booking for the 2024-2025 seasons.
This job is not for someone who hopes to own their own wedding business someday. We are seeking someone who is passionate about weddings and events but would rather not deal with the business side of things. Life situation is almost as valuable as experience. This job would be ideal for someone who has another part time flexible job, is a stay at home parent hoping to add a side income, or a high capacity person with a full time job that allows for slightly flexible hours.
Video call interview will be conducted after an initial phone screening. Working interview may be required.
