Primary Care - Nurse Practitioner

Location: Denver Colorado

Pay rate: $45.15 - $80.79

Shift: Monday through Friday

Hours: Days

The Nurse Practitioner works under the supervision and direction of the Chief Medical Officer. This position provides patient examinations and treatments, performs various tests, and maintains medical equipment and supplies as needed. The Nurse Practitioner also assists in managing patient flow, both in the office and via telephone interaction.

Role Specific Duties

  • Evaluates and treats patients within the licensed scope of practice; appropriately refers patients for specialty evaluation and treatment; provides preventive health advice and case management; and provides consultation to other staff.
  • Provide or arrange for comprehensive primary care services in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic setting, including laboratory and diagnostic workup and specialty referrals.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary, team-based care of patients.
  • Serves as a role model for effective teamwork among staff and actively works to maintain positive morale and attitude.

Licensure/Certification

Current Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure in Colorado

Current Nursing License in the state of Colorado

Valid DEA in Colorado

Qualifications

Required:

Graduate from accredited Nursing Program

Graduate from accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

One (1) year Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine office

Preferred:

Two (2) years Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine office

Experience with Epic application and heath record.

Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals.

Bilingual English / Spanish, complete comprehension, literacy, and fluency in both languages.
