Position: Clinical Social Worker & Assistant Site Leader

FLSA Designation: Salaried/Exempt

Classification: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

P osition Reports to : Site Leader & SDEW

Overview

The Clinical Social Worker & Assistant Site Leader is a key member of Colorado Dream Foundation's Organizational Leadership Team with a focus on supporting the social and emotional development of youth enrolled in the program, managing the daily operation of the program alongside the Site Lead, promoting a program climate and culture conducive to youth's learning and development, and supporting the engagement of key stakeholders to ensure the effective collaboration across all relevant partners to ensure the success of youth at program, at school, at home, and in the community. Additionally, this position manages a group of master-level interns and advocates for all youth and families in our program. Clinical Social Worker & Assistant Site Leader will report to the Site Leader, OST for site-related responsibilities and the Senior Director of Emotional Wellness for clinical and internship oversight. This reporting structure will be streamlined beginning July 2025. For the 2024-25 school year, this position will be on-site Mondays through Thursdays to support the program.

Role and Responsibilities: 

Support Operational Management of the Program Site

Program- Assistant Site Leader

  • Anticipate youth/family needs and proactively address them.
  • Consistently respond to youth /family/staff/community promptly with accurate information.
  • Support recruitment of youth for participation in the program and maintain consistent attendance and enrollment numbers to meet organizational goals
  • Collaborate with the Site Leader to oversee the creation, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Program Plans (IPPs) for all youth at the site
  • Build strong relationships with and among youth, teammates, families, community, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in Colorado Dream Foundation all-staff training, meetings, and events
  • Upholds a culture of high expectations and safety (physical and emotional)
    • Model highly respectful, genuine, warm, and caring interactions toward all individuals.
    • Monitor youth behavior, intervening positively, and helping the youth reflect on making different behavior decisions in the future.

Program-Site Liaison & Advocate

  • Organizations Advocacy & Partnerships
    • Identify and recommend strategic enrichment partnerships for youth experiences at the site
    • Serve as a steward of resources to the organization’s overall mission and values through the recruitment of youth in the program.
      • Maintain current understanding of available resources
        • Keep abreast of changes, additions, or termination of resources
    • Serve as a resource to youth, families, and the greater community to advocate on issues aligned with our organization
    • Establish and maintain relationships with organizations in the community that align with our mission and work to further engage resource mobilization and partnerships that support our youth and their families
  • Collaborates with the Site Leader in the daily operations of the Program.
    • Suggest activities/events that work to build a culture of a larger learning community.
      • Participate, without prompting, in organization-wide activities
      • Create community-building-focused site-based events that create opportunities for increased brand awareness
    • Provide insight and guidance on
      • systems to support the needs of all youth 
      • instructional delivery ideas that would actively involve all youth
      • strategies that promote youth independence and incorporate youth input into how youth are supported
    • Identify facility physical safety issues and report to the Vice President of Operations.
  • Family and/or Youth Advocacy
    • Identify opportunities to collaborate, lead, monitor, and facilitate educational and therapeutic groups for program participants, families, and community members - including developing the group goals and designing appropriate curricula

People Management

Clinical Supervision & Internship Program

  • As needed or required, collaborate with Clinical Leadership to support the clinical skill growth and development of Behavioral Health Therapists including providing one-on-one supervision, supporting the design and delivery of a high-level therapeutic services to clients across the lifespan and diagnoses, and monitoring and supporting the completion of all clinical documentation as required by law
  • Support the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding process for all clinical and systems advocacy interns
  • Provide robust weekly one-on-one supervision, monthly group supervision, and ongoing support to assigned Clinical and Systems Advocacy Interns and ensure that all required documentation, observations, and evaluations for assigned interns are completed on time

Staffing Life-Cycle Oversight

  • Provide coaching and feedback sessions, in partnership with the Site Lead, to instructors, ensuring the successful execution of enrichment and emotional wellness programs and the implementation of culturally responsive and trauma-informed care practices

Leadership Engagement Skills & Responsibilities

Program Management & Development

Emotional Wellness Program Delivery

  • Oversee the design and delivery of all Emotional Wellness program lessons for youth enrolled and support program team members in developing positive intervention strategies to improve youth's success in the program, at school, at home, and in the greater community 

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Collaborate with Leadership to identify specific data collection factors:
    • Define how data will be collected
    • Define who will collect the data
    • Define analytical factors
    • Define the collection time frame
  • In collaboration with the Site Leader, OST Program to ensure consistent input and analysis of youth data to recognize trends and inform interventions
    • Document analysis and develop plans to address identified areas of concern and highlight areas of success.
    • Provide data analysis to Leadership on a designated calendar and as requested.
  • Lead weekly MTSS meetings with team members at the site to review youth progress toward intervention/enrichment goals
    • Monitor team attendance
    • Encourage active participation
    • Document meeting summary, ensuring that decisions, plans, questions, etc. are included
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings with team members at the site to review progress towards site goals (e.g. site enrollment, ADA rates, SAYO-Y priorities, SEL-PQA learning, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Data Management Team to advise of technical issues, assistance, and planning.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's in Social Work or related field and corresponding State clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, etc.)
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a school or community-based setting as a clinician
  • Excellent clinical skills and a thorough understanding of child development and behavior 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering emotional wellness curriculum and mental health services - possessing a comprehensive grasp of diverse intervention approaches and therapeutic modalities
  • Skillful approach to addressing youth and clients’ unique needs - guiding them towards success in their Individual Program Plan and Therapeutic Treatment Plan goals and coaching others for similar outcomes.
  • Robust understanding of trauma-informed care and expertise in integrating these principles into daily interactions with youth.
  • Demonstrated belief in Colorado Dream Foundation's mission and values
  • Record of accomplishment in creating and sustaining an organizational culture that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and special events as needed
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is highly preferred
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint background check

SALARY AND BENEFITS
